Open Question: Please help this dog by giving your advice!?
We are in another state camping, and my parents dog is having problems. There is puss coming from her ear (only 1 ear) and there are little red dots in that ear. there are also little bloody blisters on her neck and top of her head. She has spent a lot of time in the sun, exercising more than usual, rolled in a dead animal and has been swimming in a lake. We are taking her to the vet in the morning but we are out of the state and I’m worried they won’t be able to help without doing tests. We are doing everything we can, put its a Friday night and most vet hospitals are closed right now. We gave her 1/2 a benadryl – will that help?

we gave her a bath and that seemed to help this morning, but now she seems like she’s not feeling well. she is still eating and drinking but isn’t as energetic as usual.

Open Question: Camping-Illinois/Michigan with friends. Where to go?
I want to do some camping in a rustic, scenic atmosphere, preferably with a lake nearby. Just a tent and a car.
For those who have been camping a lot, are there any particularly special
places that you would recommend?
Things I’m looking for:
-Endless woods/forest to go hiking/wandering through(aka-breathtaking, adventure filled landscape)
-Place to setup tent and have a bonfire
-Water nearby either fishing/canoeing/swimming/etc..
These are just basic things. Open to suggestions if there is anything else you can recommend.

Would like to AVOID the R.V. campground-type experience and places littered with young families.
