Home On The Range: Fishing Fun
I’m a country girl and enjoy living on 400 acres of beautiful Maine land but I also enjoy a good dose of retail therapy with lunch out to make for a perfect day. It’s not life in the fast lane, more like the breakdown lane but it’s my life and I love it! …. Saturday we went to the lake for the first time all summer except for putting in the dock. It was very windy but sunny and warm and we enjoyed every minute of it. We took D out fishing for sunfish and he had a blast! … read more…

Resolved Question: Which of these is the best college?
A few details:
I’m doing an assignment for my business class and I had to fill this thing out on the computer about what I wanted to go to college for & what state I wanted to go to college in & all that stuff and then it gave me a list of colleges that would be good for me. Then, I have to pick out 2 colleges that I’m interested in and fill out a few questions about them. After doing this, it really got me into thinking about college.
All of these colleges have the programs of study that I want. Now, I’m just looking for the one that has the best setting. Like the area around it and stuff.
I want it to be in a small town-rural area. I don’t want a lot of people around like in a city. That’s why I didn’t choose Ohio State University, and because I want somewhere atleast an hour from home. I live in Columbus. Also, I’m not a big fan of hot weather so I want it to be somewhere where it’s somewhat cold or atleast where it’s not boiling hot in the summer. Since I like the cold weather so much, I’ve also been looking at colleges in Maine.
Anyway, which of these colleges do you think would be best for me and fitting my description? They’re all in Ohio, by the way.
Defiance College
Antioch College
Baldwin Wallace College
Bowling Green State University
The College of Wooster
Lake Erie College
Oberlin College
Shawnee State University
Wilmington College
Thanks.
And sorry if I sound too whiny or picky.

FROM COAST TO COAST
The Northeast
The Northeast is the part of the USA that most visitors see and which is most often described. The skyscrapers of New York and the White House in Washington DC are symbols of this region. It is the most densely populated and the most industrialized area in the US,but it is also a region of extensive farmland and beautiful countryside.
New England,as the states of Maine,New Hampshire,Vermont,Massachusetts,Rhode Island and Connecticut are called, has small farming communities and fishing villages. Its one large city is Boston, the most European of American cities.
Further west, towards Ohio and Indiana, there is the famous Corn Belt.It is a very important region both for agriculture and for industry. The main crop here is corn that is used to feed pigs and cattle. The most important cities are Pittsburgh(steel and aluminium)and Cleveland(transportation components and high technology).
New York, the largest city in the country,is the financial and cultural capital of the U.S..It is part of an enormous conurbation that extends along the east coast for 750 kilometres. This conurbation includes the five cities of Boston,New York,Philadelphia,Baltimore and Washington and has a population of 45 million.People commuting home at night on the plane service between New York and Washington can see lights below them all the way.
The other great conurbation of the Northeast is near The Great Lakes and includes Milwaukee,Chicago,Detroit and Cleveland, with a population of 28 million people. This area is connected to the north with the metropolitan regions of Toronto and Montrea in Canada.
